Yes, she looked good during that part of the show, but I can't be the only one that thought she looked 'spaced out' at the very least during the performance! Kind of sad... in the recent interviews I've seen of her she looked totally 'with it' but tonight... something was not quite right, sorry.... sad

Just found this link http://www.telegraph.co.u...mance.html which is exactly what I was thinking!

I have a feeling she's still not over her issues quite yet.

No, not yet, sadly, because she looked great earlier in the show, maybe nerves about performing set her back for tonight? Let's hope. On a more positive note though, I thought Jamie Archer's performance / song was AMAZING, really liked it a lot, best of the night biggrin

I actually think it was her most energetic performance since her comeback.

GMA was pretty boring.

I haven't seen her Oprah performance.

I watched it and was just hoping she wouldn't mess up.

Performance wise: She looked good, sang live and sounded much better than on Good Morning America. Plus she was genuinely enjoying herself.

On the interview: I think she was just a tired from the performance not 'drowsy'.

People need to remember she is a recovering/ex addict re-adjusting to being a performer.

Yeah.

She's also not that young anymore either and has been sitting around in her home for awhile.

I don't understand why people want to blame Bobby for all her problems she had.

She mentioned on Oprah that she's was doing drugs Pre-Bodyguard era, and right after her daughter was born eek If that isn't irresponsible, then I don't know what else is.

She made the decision to take drugs and screw up her life, and she could have divorced Bobby a long time ago if she wanted to. Let's not forget she's six year older than him.

She didn't have the strength to leave him back then...she was head over heals in love with him, & love sometimes can be a drug in its self.

Yeah she didn't have the courage.

On Oprah, she still seems very much in love with him though, and she said she felt that their marriage went downhill (after the Bodyguard) because Bobby started feeling insecure and jealous of her success after the Bodyguard, and how his career was taking a backseat. She said that he gave up his career for her, and there was a lot of pressure for him to live up to him being Mr. Houston because the media was attacking their marriage.

Here's something Mr. Clive Davis should have considered. When dealing with drug addiction, breaking patterns is one of the most difficult things to do. That's why many addicts will leave their hometown and start a new life because experiencing the same life experiences can cause a relapse. Now, if Whitney has been getting "high" right before her live performances for decades, it's got to be hard for her to deal with those refreshed memories.

I don't know if she has relapsed or not but I get the impression her "people" have rushed her a wee bit too quickly on this comeback attempt. She didn't come off as person who was contrite about her drug abuse and that's needed in order break free of the addiction. Hopefully she is strong enough to not let the drugs control her but since she has never come across as a strong indiviual in the first place, I doubt it.

BTW: I am sick and tired of her attempt to claim "I'm Every Woman" as her own. Great, you covered it and had a hit now give it back to Chaka who shamed your version in the first place. rolleyes

sad

This was sad to read, and I hope she's truly over her problems.

Whitney Houston still fights the urge to take drugs.

The 'I Will Always Love You' singer still thinks about taking crack cocaine and marijuana - the substances she was addicted to when she was married to singer Bobby Brown - but turns to God when she feels tempted.

She told TV host Oprah Winfrey in the second part of a tell-all interview: "Don't think I don't have desires for it. It takes me a minute to cleanse. I have to pray it away."

She added: "I take things one day at a time. If I get weak, I know who I can turn to. I know God loves me."

Whitney did admit she still sometimes drinks alcohol, but is now completely free from drugs.

The 46-year-old star also revealed it was her faith that helped her finally make the decision to leave 40-year-old Bobby - who confessed he had cheated on his wife in his autobiography 'Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But' - in 2006.

She told him she was going out "for sugar and milk", but instead boarded a private jet from Atlanta to California, to make a fresh start.

At that time Whitney moved the couple's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, now 16, in with her brother and sister-in-law while she began to repair her life.

Whitney - who divorced Bobby in 2007 - said: "My only concern was my daughter and her perception of her father. But the internet let her know things. She said, 'No. Divorce him. Let him go.' "

Oh PLEASE... lol I really don't want to fall out with anyone, but that is what you call being in denial!! She was out of her face, she could hardly string a sentence together, that was nothing to do with being tired from the performance, that's a completely different kind of 'tired'... she was on something, I've already said I think it's sad, genuinely. I remember Whitney at the beginning and I thought she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen, it makes me sad to see what's happened to her. But maybe it's just a slip up.. and she'll get it together again, I hope so for her.

lol No... that's not going to work either, most women who are in their mid forties, and have been at home for a while, don't look like they're pissed out of their heads when they try to have a conversation with someone...unless they've been sitting in the pub all afternoon of course!! wink
