Nothing to say about this other than...stone cold, classic motherfucking groove. Absolutely adore this jam.

Johnny 'J' replayed this groove for Tupac's "Hit 'Em Up". We talked about the original cut for a bit while I was at his studio in 2006, as well as other artists that 'Pac had wanted him to sample including Prince, Cameo, etc. I picked up Johnny' s Fender Jazz and busted out this b-line at one point lol....it's like the only thing I can play, hahaha!

Dennis wanted Chaka Khan to record this song with him,but she was unavailable so he chose Siedah instead.

lol Yeah, pretty bad.
I've lost the use of my heart, But I'm still alive, Still looking for the life, The endless pool on the other side, It's a wild wild west, I'm doing my best, I'm a soldier of love, Every day and night, I'm soldier of love, All the days of my life.

Yes it IS. lol lol My God, I guess they didn't have enough money in the budget for a real video, uh? Is it me, something about Dennis's "moves" remind my of Ashford Simpson.

Even so this is the jam and that bassline. worship
