Great song. Great choreography.
It's hard to believe this song
wasn't a top ten hit which prompted
Berry Gordy to give Norman Whitfield a
shot with the group after this Smokey
Robinson penned tune fell short of the top ten.

Yeah, I never understood how this song wasn't considered 'good enough'. Its shown its staying power over the years. I wonder what direction the Tempts would've gone in had Smokey stayed their primary writer; and better yet, what group would Norman Whitfield have given those hits like 'Ain't To Proud To Beg', 'Poppa Was A Rolling Stone', etc. hmmm

I've heard this cover before, I suppose they could've fared well with the Temps catalog if given the chance. Anythings possible, but I'll assume that they couldn't bring it across on stage the same way.
