His album is pretty solid. I also think his career should be bigger, but it was over shadowed by B2K's debut

You really think so? I think his career is not that big because he's not a great singer and usually his material is sub-par. I agree that he has great potential, but not sure if his career could be any bigger.

To me, his career peaked when he was with Immature and IMX. After that, he was just known as "Roger" and not really taken seriously as a singer. Not to mention the whole Chris situation.

Immature/iMX were at their peak around 1995 when the "We Got It" album came out. The albums after that were good, but they weren't as "out there" as they were when "We Got It" was in stores. Once they introduced B2K to the world, their promotion was pushed to the back to make room for B2K. Not to mention the majority of iMX fans were spending more time and money on B2K because they [B2K] were around the same ages as iMX fans. It got to a point to when B2K had to promote iMX because their sales dropped once B2K came out. The whole Chris situation was a bit much.

I agree with you with the exception of the part about iMX's fans buying B2K. You must remember, iMX's last album came out in 02 and B2K was started around that same time. THis was all part of Chris' plan because the members of iMX didn't want to do it anymore, then Chris introduced B2K.

Now I have to admit, I'm actually a fan of Marques, was a huge Immature fan back in the day, but when they became imX and were tagging along with the Baby Oil Bandits aka B2K, that was a wrap lol And imX's last album had some solid tunes (Pillow, Tears, First Time) but it solid poorly

Now with Marques.....it's a hard sell. MH was okay, but it didn't have much direction. He didn't know if he wanted to be a member of B2K, a rapper, R. Kelly, or Michael Jackson (listen to Actin' Up and tell me he wasn't trying to sound like Michael) lol

Naked was similar, it had some solid material like All Because Of You and I Wasn't Ready but the title track and the video.....falloff This nucca was tryin' to be like D'Angelo lol

Veteran, I was 10x surprised as hell that it was #1 on the R&B album charts, hell, I was surprised that it got to NUMBER MUTHAFUCKIN' FIVE ON THE BILLBOARD 200, because NObody I knew had that muthafucka lol

NOBODY lol

It had about 4 standout tracks.... funny thing is the 3 strongest songs are tracks 4, 5, and 6 consecutively lol

He has potential, but he still hasn't found his sound

oh yeah, and I'll NEVER forgive his punk ass for House Party 4

NEVER

Did u see 2 of the members of B2K on Monique's show last night? They have a new project out. I can't remember the names of the guys that were there, though. I know the guy with the "good hair" and pony tail and the guy in the far left of the pic.

B2K was introduced in 2001. After iMX last album, Marques was already beginning his work on a solo project. It's not that they didn't wanna be a group anymore, they just wanted to do their own thing for a minute. Romeo dropped an album, and LDB went into real estate. iMX was supposed to make another album during the last ear of B2K, but plans got shelved

I hope you don't believe that they didn't want to be a group anymore. That was what they told the press. I have a source that worked closely with them and was informed that Chris Stokes is the main reason they are not together anymore. Supposedly after their last 2 albums flopped, Chris decided to form B2K.

I'm good friends with a lot of people in TUG. In all actuality, B2K was a group BEFORE Chris Stokes even got a hold of them. Chris never formed B2K. Only thing he did was sign them under the TUG management.
