Sunny What do you think is the best version? what is your favorite version?
What's interesting about this one is their is no bass in this song. Sounds like the drums are mixed somewhere far in the back, but it adds to the song, gives it a dissonant distant & reflective feeling, couple that with the string arrangement, and it's beautiful. For some reason, to my ears this sounds like a song that deserves to be in a noir or classic hollywood mystery film score. No background Vocals to be had on this one. Stevie holds it down himself. The original by Bobby Hebb makes me emotional, so I'll go with that version.
