awesome! love the intensity of the vocals. it's amazing to me that this was just a bonus track. and actually the bsides from this album were better than many of the album tracks.

I can't get into their newer albums honestly. I must have listened to their self titled album once before selling it. Never even bothered to buy the last one. I called it a day with them with the last greatest hits comp. Love 80s Cure though.

It took me several listens for 4:13 Dream to finally hold interest, but now I kinda like it. It's nowhere near their best work, but its does have a few good tunes.

The problem I have w/ The Cure now is that it's been 8 years since they've really proven there is a continued reason for their existence, at least from a recording standpoint. They are doing nothing but retreading past glories. Things like "Taking Off" has already been written and recorded several times before, and better (in between days, friday i'm in love, etc..) The Cure seems to have a particular formula these days of the types of songs that are required for their albums. Although I like 4:13 Dream, it's almost like... The Cure doing what they think a Cure album should have, if that makes any sense... didn't seem particular original or inspired or new on any level.

But maybe it's just me...

Underneath The Stars is a song as strong as anything on Disintegration and one of their best songs to me. But I feel you on the "this is what a Cure album should have" vibe with some of their later releases.

I would love some new material. Supposedly this year he was going to release the 2nd disc that was recorded at the same time as the last one, not sure what's going on w/ that... the 2nd disc was supposed to be much more dark and melancholy.

4:13 Dream is a great album. You should at least hear it once. nod

I agree, those are my 3 faves, and Underneath the Stars is particularly good.

wasnt really a fan until about 2 years ago. i'd gotten used to hearing them and enjoyed them. and they were on my ipod from the person who was playing them around me at the time.

when that went away, i started buying their albums. was waiting for this one to be remastered. it's my fave love

I saw them on their last tour and none of the new songs did anything for me. I have so many Cure albums already from Three Imaginary Boys through Bloodflowers, if I need a Cure fix, I'll just listen to one of those.
