It's nowhere near their best work, but its does have a few good tunes. The problem I have w/ The Cure now is that it's been 8 years since they've really proven there is a continued reason for their existence, at least from a recording standpoint. They are doing nothing but retreading past glories. Things like "Taking Off" has already been written and recorded several times before, and better (in between days, friday i'm in love, etc..) The Cure seems to have a particular formula these days of the types of songs that are required for their albums. Although I like 4:13 Dream, it's almost like... The Cure doing what they think a Cure album should have, if that makes any sense... didn't seem particular original or inspired or new on any level. But maybe it's just me... Underneath The Stars is a song as strong as anything on Disintegration and one of their best songs to me. But I feel you on the "this is what a Cure album should have" vibe with some of their later releases. | |

Wait, you don't own it at all?!?wasnt really a fan until about 2 years ago. i'd gotten used to hearing them and enjoyed them. and they were on my ipod from the person who was playing them around me at the time. when that went away, i started buying their albums. was waiting for this one to be remastered. it's my fave | |
