Is Nancy Wilson worth giving a listen to? Anyone? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries." | |

Indeed. She has a beautiful voice. My dad had a couple of her albums. I remember liking them. My biggest problem with Nancy was that she used to do a lot of remakes. I was thinking about getting the Capital anthology that came out a few years ago.

Yes, she is!! One of the greatest singers of all time!! I have a few albums by her. My favorite is one called "Going out of my head", it is an album of covers. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth" | |

Back in the 60s, everybody was guilty of that charge. But I agree. even though her most original work was in the 70s. I have a pic of myself at 1 year old sitting on my daddy's lap grabbing on this album.... 
I was partial to ANYTHING that has the canary yellow in it(according to my folks) 
Great album,,,,,I'd suggest you to check her albums with Ramsey Lewis as well. | |

If you want to hear something more contemporary from her, check out "Lady With A Song" (1989), which is one of my all time favorite albums from anyone! The Japan edition includes a version of "Fairy Tales", featuring Anita Baker. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

A little Ms. Wilson goes a looooong way with me. I like some of her earlier works but a the years went by her phrasing of lyrics just became too tortuous. (IMHO) | |
