I posted a photoshopped picture of a 'fat prince' once with a bucket of friend chicken, and it never occured to me that this was a stereotype until somebody accused me of racism. Where did this stereotype come from? 
I'd heard of the Watermelon stereotype (it was quite typical in the South), but I must have missed the boat in hearing the friend chicken one. *sits around a camp fire* Stereotypes come from oft-observed truths. People notice a similar trait from a group of people and begin to associate that trait with a stereotype. Simple as that  | |

Damn ya'll are so gullible. Apparantly Kanye was irritated by the reporter asking him questions so he was actually being SARCASTIC by saying the whole chicken thing. If you notice it took him some time before he even decided to respond to the reporter. Then the reporter when on and on and on, so Kanye gave him the answer that the dumb reporter would have had him say and kept on walking.  I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. | |
