In this order:

True Blue
Like A Prayer
Like A Virgin
I've lost the use of my heart, But I'm still alive, Still looking for the life, The endless pool on the other side, It's a wild wild west, I'm doing my best, I'm a soldier of love, Every day and night, I'm soldier of love, All the days of my life.

I love her entire career up untill 2002, all of it is just CLASSIC. I still follow her after that but shes now a novelty act for me, just checking in on her and seeing if she will reignite the spark she had, which I'm thinking she probably will now that shes divorced Guy Ritchie. Look wise my favourite was the Evita period. I loved how curvey she became when she had Lourdes and the way her hair was. Its the most beautiful she ever looked. And my fave album is Ray of Light so I guess the reinvention of 1996-1999 period is my favourite.

The erotica era is the one i admire her most for. But i kind of agree that she was at he peak from 89-94. I did enjoy ray of light, it was nice to see her re-launch her career so well, but Erotica always seems to be the album i go back to.

Something to Remember doesn't count though does it? I most times include the Evita period as part of the Ray Of Light era as it's part of the overall reinvention she had for Ray of Light. It's the same with 1990 and 1991 that most people class as a different time calling it the Blonde Ambition era whereas I just think of it as part of Lika A Prayer.

hmmm yeah,I see your point.Different eras often overlap. The Erotica era is my favorite, but I suppose it could also include Truth Or Dare/The Sex Book/Erotica (the album/The Girlie Show.....so roughly,1991-1994.

Yeah, Sex and The Girlie Show I definitley see as being Erotica. But I tend to lump Truth or Dare with Like A Prayer mainly due to the look she had going. Otherwise there are just waaay too many Madonna eras.

When she divorced Sean Penn,it was the beginning of her most exciting era of all lol In the Ryan Seacrest interview from last week, she admitted that the past year was really "stressful" for her,but said that she's much happier now and that it would be reflected in her new music.I think the "divorce" from Warners has made her much happier, too. She seems really liberated and fun in her recent interviews.I think being married causes her to hold back alot of her 'real' personality. When she's single and free, she's truly herself. It'll be interesting to see how her next album/era will be.

No, when I heard there were no dicks in it, I left it alone. But even if it did have dicks in it, $50 was too damn expensive. lol

Unabashingly Raunchy (Erotica)

This was probably my favorite era...the Immaculate Collection / Truth Or Dare / Erotica era. It seemed like she was finding herself and going through the mid life crisis of 'about to hit thirty' stage. She didnt care what anyone thought and she was strong and confused at the same time. The pictures..the songs the film. It was all a young woman, on her rollercoaster ride to find herself. A very chaotic era but a part that is aslo fufilling as she wouldnt almost BE who she is without this era of time.
