Question About Minnie Riperton As you Minnie fans probably know, she took a hiatus between Come To My Garden and Perfect Angel.
BUT do you know if she recorded anything inbetween that either got shelved or ended up in other people's projects? The recent release of Betty Davis' shelved album got me thinking about this. The shortage if her discography is such a crime,,,,less is def NOT more when it comes to this woman. On a side note: I wish Rhino/Hip-O releases her live material, esp the concert she did with George Benson/Grover Washington Jr. the only thing I heard from it was the sped up version of Lovin' You which is from Mr.Benson's personal library. She was on these gems with Stevie Wonder just a couple of months before Perfect Angel came out:

1970: Come to My Garden
1974: Perfect Angel 1975: Adventures in Paradise 1977: Stay in Love 1979: Minnie In 1971 she and her mates in The Rotary Connection released the album entitled, "HEY LOVE" then they disbanded. As you mentioned the hiatus for two years in Florida before the move to L.A. and hence the collaboration with Stevie Wonder for her second studio album "Perfect Angel". Whether she did any "basement/living-room" recording when she lived in Flordia, I don't know.

That's one of my favorite Stevie Wonder tunes that just happens to feature the bg vocals of Ms. Riperton. Some of those "missing recording years" might be attributed to her being a part of Wonderlove during that time period (along with Deniece Williams). ...Wonderlove Tribute. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 [Edited 10/4/09 18:09pm] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Maya Rudolph was born in 1972, so that might put the timeline into perspective.
