I'm going to have to go and put Wingspan on now. Some people are like Slinkies...
They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

the best song he ever wrote. its just perfect in every way. on the one hand i hate that its only incarnation as a studio recording is pretty lo-fi and unremarkable, but on the other, i love that too. 'McCartney' was a great understated record.

Don't you hate the sudden fade end?
I always did It should last another minute at last. Maybe he thinks the same. Hence the 6:16 Twin Freaks version Here's an edit

I always did It should last another minute at last. Yes, I hate that sudden fade ever so much. An unnecessary flaw on one of his very best songs.

I adore this song. However, I'm more inclined to the live version from Wings Over America tour/album.

Excellent song. Also what the "Let It Be" -album would have had needed on it (or rather "Abbery Road", considering it was basically their last recorded work together). [Edited 10/5/09 5:25am]

One of my favorite songs of all time. The song I refer to when people say Paul's solo work wasn't as strong as George's or John's. All three had their ups and downs when it came to life after the Beatles.

If this would have been recorded by the Beatles (P. wrote it shortly after John's divorce from the band) - it would have been another classic a la Let It Be, Hey Jude etc.

What a beautiful song. Paul has written some of the best songs ever, both with the Beatles and without.
