I don't care too much for her earlier albums either, but there are a couple of songs I do like. Dream Street is one of them.

I love early Janet too! So sweet and innocent
I'm the total opposite. At first few listens I couldn't get into her debut and sophmore album but with more listens I've grown to really love them. It's her last two albums I can't get into Also the Dream Street LP is very Prince-esque, probably why I love it so much. I think many people don't like her early recordings because it wasn't Janet. It was Janet just doing what she was told to do. | |
