Im not a jermaine fan, he can sing but i don't like his voice, I don't have any of his albums, but the hatred he gets from some fans is really mind-blowing and ridiculous, at the end , he is still his brother. good point.

For those who are getting the Opus, what's the deal with the music /dvd part of it? I don't understand how it works and what will they include with it? As for the "hate" on the family and Jermaine...A lot of fans are young and not ve objective. But they're upset so they say the weirdest of stuff. I just try to guide a bit without meddling Hate is such an easy emotion and a cop out. MJ was close and loved his family but I suppose we all sometimes wonder how much Michael had to "carry" them. What are some of your favourite tracks, lyrics etc? I love History, Blood on the Dancefloor, Stranger in Moscow, You rock my world, Speechless. Well there are more but those and Will you be there tend to have to have double plays everytime. I'm so hoping they'll release previous tours. ie History & Bad, in hq,though I heard he didn't like the former. Judge says Michael Jackson's kids 'doing wonderfully'
LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- The two men running Michael Jackson's estate gained new powers and an extension of their authority until the end of the year in a court hearing Friday. An investigator's report said Michael Jackson's children are doing well with Katherine Jackson as their guardian. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff also accepted an investigator's report that said Jackson's three children are adjusting well under the guardianship of Katherine Jackson. "It looks like the children are really doing wonderfully with their grandmother guardian," Beckloff said. Joe Jackson sat in the courtroom for the hearing on estate and custody matters. It was the first time Michael Jackson's father has attended the hearings since his son's June 25 death. John Branca and John McClain, named as executors of Jackson's 2002 will, have been handling the estate's business as temporary special administrators since July while the will probate process is completed. Branca was a longtime attorney for Michael Jackson, who was rehired by the pop star just a week before his death, according to estate lawyer Howard Weitzman. McClain is a former music industry executive who worked with Jackson for years. Katherine Jackson's challenge of Branca and McClain appears headed for a trial in December, unless an agreement is reached between them. Her lawyers have not publicly given their objections to the two men, but have suggested the trial would explore possible conflicts of interest that would prevent them from running the estate. While Joe Jackson did not speak to reporters after the hearing, a Jackson family friend, Majestik Magnificent, talked about the special administrators. "Why are they even here? Why are they even involved in this? This is a family affair," he said. Until now, the administrators had to ask for court approval for every agreement they made for the estate, including a deal for a movie that will hit theaters at the end of October. "Things went well for the estate, because the estate can now continue to do it's business," Weitzman said after the hearing. Beckloff said that while the case is fascinating, his calendar is too full for him to be involved in all of the estate's business. With their new powers, the special administrators only have to notify the court and the Jacksons about deals. Michael Jackson's mother and three children, along with unnamed charities, are the beneficiaries of the estate, which is estimated to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars. An odd moment came in the hearing when a woman who has previously filed a papers claiming to be the mother of Michael Jackson's youngest child, Prince Michael II, spoke up to remind the judge she was there. She says her name is Billie Jean Jackson. At the end of the hearing, Joe Jackson approached her, but she frowned at him and walked away. Majestik Magnificent later wondered aloud why reporters even give any attention to "crazy" people surrounding the case. "we make our heroes in America only to destroy them"

Michael Jackson Saved BET From Extinction, Says CEO Debra Lee, During Tribute at CBC Conference
Monday, 28 September 2009 17:17 Debra Lee, CEO of BET BET would not have survived its turbulent beginning without Michael Jackson, says station CEO Debra Lee. In the 1980s, Black Entertainment Television was a fledgling all-black station struggling to survive and create an identity at the same time that Jackson was cresting towards the pinnacle of his artistry and influence. BET was able to leverage the unquenchable thirst for the King of Pop’s music videos, particularly the ones off the Thriller album, to create a revenue windfall and help stave off economic collapse. “We didn’t have very much money and videos were cheap programming. That’s why we had so many video shows [in the beginning], in addition to the talk shows that we had,” Lee said at a Michael Jackson tribute forum during the Congressional Black Caucus' annual convention in Washington, D.C. “We were able to take those little pieces of film, put them together and make highly professional, creative shows. We didn’t make the videos, the labels did, but [Jackson’s label] gave them to us for free," says Lee, who has been with BET for over 25 years. "And it really turned this network into a business model that worked. And Michael led that charge. He was the one who really turned videos into full-fledged entertainment. And he did it better than anyone else.” Lee says that if MTV and Jackson rode each other to glory, then Jackson also helped BET ride out of financial doom. Lee intimated that had Jackson used MTV exclusively after breaking that network’s color barrier and forgotten about BET, the consequences would have been catastrophic. “That would have been the death knell for us,” Lee says frankly. “But if he came out with a new video … he said MTV and BET get the video at the same time.” Along with other artists and programming, Jackson enabled BET to find its fiscal footing until it could grow into a viable, independent entertainment entity. “So Michael allowed us to stay in the game even when MTV opened its doors and started playing black videos,” she said. “So it’s sort of like when white universities started allowing black folks to play ball, all of a sudden the black college couldn’t keep the players anymore. And that would have happened to us if Michael had let that happen, [but] he didn’t,” Lee added to applause. "we make our heroes in America only to destroy them"
