Jermaine Jackson blasts 'cashing in' claims
Jermaine Jackson has hit out at critics accusing him of "cashing in" on his brother Michael's death, insisting he just wants to keep the King Of Pop's legacy alive. The Thriller hitmaker passed away in June after suffering a cardiac arrest and Jermaine has been in the press speaking about his brother ever since. He was also the driving force behind a doomed memorial concert in Vienna, Austria, which was scrapped when he failed to pull in enough big names to appear at the show. But Jermaine has slammed allegations he is using his brother's death to make money for himself, branding the claims "absurd". He says, "That is the most ridiculous thing ever. It is not about cashing in on what has happened. It is responsibility on all of our parts as brothers and sisters to keep his legacy alive. "I would love to see something done in my brother's honour every year, because he was that well-respected around the globe. So for the media to say this is absurd. It is stupid. It is crazy." Jackson Kids Visit Science Center and IMAX Theatre By Eunice Oh October 2009 A month after their father was finally laid to rest, Michael Jackson's children "are doing very good," a source close to the Jackson family tells People magazine, and enjoying time together outside their grandparents' home. On Friday, Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II (a.k.a. "Blanket"), 7, visited the California Science Center, a hands-on science education facility, in Los Angeles where they came in with a large group of kids, browsed the gift shop and watched a film in the IMAX theatre. "They were running around, just having fun with the toys like any other kids would do," Brandon Smith, an employee at the science center's gift store tells "[They were] real friendly. They said 'hi.'" The family outing comes a few weeks after the Jackson kids visited L.A.'s famed La Brea Tar Pits and have been spotted in Las Vegas with their grandmother. "Katherine wants to give them a normalcy that they've never had," says the family source. "She wants them to adjust to a normal life. She wants to make sure they are grounded."

Arnie Klein Shut Down in Jackson Court
Posted Oct 5th 2009 6:09PM by TMZ Staff Michael Jackson's good friend and doc Arnie Klein was formally shut down in court Friday, when the judge ruled he has no legal right to raise concerns about the welfare of Jackson's 3 kids. You'll recall Dr. Klein's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, showed up in probate court early on and said his client had concerns about the kids. According to court docs obtained by TMZ, the judge ruled Klein had no legal "standing" because there's a "conclusive presumption" Jackson and Debbie Rowe are the parents of the two older kids. The court also found there is "no legal mother" of Prince Michael Jackson, II -- aka Blanket. WTH are these people's problem. klein ...GO AWAY "we make our heroes in America only to destroy them"

I don't question Michael's parenting skills, but I think what Katherine is doing is what's best for them. She's allowing them to see the world and giving them the childhood they need. For the most part MJ kept them secluded from the world and hid their identities from the world. I think they're a lot happier now because they're exploring.

I must speak on this MJ Prince competition. Clearly the two artist respected each other. However, what most people don't look at is that these 2 were giants in a field of giants. Since James Brown pushed funk into it's birth, the music of the 70's was lined with talent. What both MJ and Prince did was push the limits of how far the music could go. WHile MJ had the history with Motown, Prince created his movement. But they both perfected their craft so well that even the most hardened critics had to take notice. Motown 25 was magic. His videos were magic and EVERYONE watched. Less than a year later, Prince kept the eyes on "Soul" music by making it his sound. I wonder if this generation is really going to understand any of this, but I hope they pick un instruments and get to playing.
