Don't Throw It All Away

Anybody remember this song by Stacy Lattisaw? It's a nice slow jam wink It has always been my fav by her besides Love On A Two Way Street. I was just listening to it last night and I loved her voice- so sweet and innocent razz Wasn't she like 14 then? Anyway, just some love for an 80's goodie lol

Hell yeah. That was a great slow jam that came out in my favorite summer, the summer of 1982.

I was 14 so she would have been 15. Both she and Janet Jackson are one year older than me.

LOVE THIS SONG! Not so long ago,I found out that it's actually a cover. It was originally recorded by the Delfonics in 1978.

Stacy's 1982 album 'Sneakin' Out' is her best work, imo. In addition to "Don't Throw It All Away",the album also includes the fun, catchy "Attack Of The Name Game",a breezy cover of "Hey There Lonely Boy",a cool uptempo jam "I'm Down For You" and an amazing ballad,"I Could Love You So Divine" that could have, and should have, been a single. It's actually my favorite song by Stacy.

If you decide to have one Stacy Lattisaw album in your collection, this is the one I would recommend.

I loved this! That should have been a clue that I was gay.

I was a young white boy who loved all the black female singers at that time.
lol.

Stacy had a good run in the 80s.From 1980 to 1989,she was always on the R&B charts with one hit after another. She never had any breakthrough pop/crossover hits but that's okay.
