I can't imagine that happening. But it may have affected ticket sales. Either way, to just cancel an entire tour after tickets had started to go on sale with no explanation is just piss-poor public relations on Live Nation's part. Wack! I feel u. But can you imagine if they went to KY or SC, those hicks would be talking so bad about him. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Sorry. | |

Sorry. Yeah, I heard Kanye requires a minimum number of big dicks back stage. It's part of his rider. Apparently LiveNation was concerned about being able to satisfy BOTH 'ye's and GaGa's big dick quota every night across the country.

WOW! It's confirmed that they cancelled the tour due to "creative differences". However, Lauri-Ann Gibson (I didnt know she was Lady GaGa's choreographer) confirmed via twitter that the tour WILL go on WITHOUT Kanye, meaning it will be a Lady GaGa solo tour! Also hearing that Adam Lambert might be opening up for GaGa!

The principal reason for pulling the plug was "creative differences"? Let me guess---low ticket sales, to say nothing of what was already a self-fulfilling tour title ("Fame Kills").

I've long suspected Kanye's egotistical behaviour is more cocaine rather than booze or grief induced.. No proof just a feeling. One minute they want peace……
Then do everything to make it go away.

kanye and lady gaga were gonna tour together? damn too bad it got cancelled
I would have paid to go see them

I doubt it was cancelled because of bad publicity around the Taylor thing. Kanye was rude, but it's not like he killed someone. Other celebrities have said and done far worse things and their tours go on.
I'm sure it was cancelled due to low ticket sales but of course Live Nation will never admit that. Lady Gaga just completed a solo tour. I don't see why lots of people would rush out to see the same thing they just saw. Of course, there are some obsessed fans who want to see her over and over, but most fans of an artist aren't like that. They are happy to see someone once and then move on to enjoy other artists. She has only a couple of hits, so why do another tour so soon. It would make sense for her to record another album and then tour with that. I like some of Gaga's songs, but I saw her earlier this week in DC and she is not that impressive as a live performer. It was one of the most disappointing concerts I've ever been to in my life.

This is what I mean by America has become a bunch of oversensitive bitches. In business, its normally unthinkable to refuse to do business based on personal feelings but we have become so weak and emotionally hair-triggered as a society that this sort of thing is accepted as commonplace.
How many bands toured together in the 80s and before that hated each other? Many. There are tons of stories documented to back this up. Now, people bitch up and get fickle and emotional at tour time or worse - cancel in the middle of a tour (ex: Jay-Z and R. Kelly). And we wonder why there's supposedly no good music these days? Its because the artists are full of themselves. To keep it real, neither Lady Gaga nor Kanye are "great" - they are just "good". Gaga is not heads above other artists talent-wise; she's just different and unique. Kanye is not that much better of a rapper than many other rappers, he just has better subject matter and takes more musical chances - making him "unique" as well. Its a simple reflection of how America has become. Its the common social climate to financially punish anyone that we don't like personally; even if we like what they do. LastDecember nailed it perfectly in another thread: "When MEDIA became the way, there are no more music stars, u are now a MEDIA star, fuck the music." And that's where we are. Everybody wants to be a celebrity. Nobody wants to be a star. A star believes the show must go on at any cost. Live Nation = Clear Channel = the reason you get the same 15-20 songs/artists over and over all day. [Edited 10/2/09 9:24am]

Lady GaGa was at the Billboard "Women in Music" event in NYC on Friday to receive the Rising Star Award when she addressed the cancellation of her "Fame Kills" tour with Kanye West.
"It was a mutual decision," she says. "Kanye's going to take some time off. But the good news is that I'm going on tour in a few weeks."

When I first saw her, I was a fan. It's because she's so different and not like everyone else singing about the same subjects. She'll be performing her new single along with "Paparazzi" tomorrow night on SNL
