I just remember America before Michael died. I remember there was a thread on a facebook group about him having those concerts and most of the ppl were saying no thanks...he scares me....he's a pervert....i was a fan in the eighties but not now....better have the tour in Europe, Michael's career in America is HIStory. And now since he died, his shit is all over the place. Shirts, cds, posters, buttons, calenders, magazines in every shop. All over the place. EVERYWHERE. The tv guide channel had MJ specials on 24/7 for over TWO MONTHS. Now can't stop talking about it and what a great person he was . Now they talk about his whole career in America...not just the Thriller bandwagon. Funny how it took him to realize that he was just misunderstood, not a monster. FAKE....FAKE AS HELL. I was thinking about this today and the other day when I was doing research about his catalog This is the FIRST time in my life where I've been able to buy a Michael Jackson tshirt in a store I remember growing up and going to the bookstores, looking for books about Michael and others like Little Richard and Sammy Davis Jr, and NEVER finding anything. Well, I could find one or two about Little Richard, maybe one about Sammy, but Michael? forget about it, I would look and see shelves of Elvis, The Beatles, Hendrix, Rolling Stones and wondering why. Then hearing my friend Chris talk about how he and his cowriter Craig were shopping their books to publishers and being turned away because "Nobody wants pro Michael Jackson books" I went to Barnes and Noble a couple of weeks ago and seeing a full shelf for Michael. I didn't feel happy or sad, I was actually mad.... "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

it wasnt always like that. duering the thriller era there were a million mj books.
i would go into the stores ( early 90s) and ask for mj books and i remember this lady pulled out 3 stacks of books. i nearly gasmed! i think bad era was more magazines ( i think moonwalk book prohibited other books being made about him during that time- i dunno)

I was with my lil cousins in the country this past weekend. The house was hot as hell and full of folks cuz it was a retirement part for my aunt. I sat down in a chair and was fanning myself and my lil 22 year old second cuzzin asked me, "Are you having a hot flash???" I almost cussed his ass out in my aunt's house. Then we started talking about MJ and them lil fuckas were saying shit like, "We weren't even alive when that came out." Man, I felt decrepit like a mug.

The coroner also found Jackson was actively producing sperm. So what the tabloids gonna say now? Huh? lol [Edited 10/1/09 10:16am] Forget TMZ & the tabloid media. What about some members of the YouTube community that have evidence that Michael may have faked his own death?!? Just use the YT search engine and type "Michael Jackson Faked His Own Death" and see for yourself. [Edited 10/1/09 17:24pm]

I didn't feel happy or sad, I was actually mad.... Yep, that's right. Except his "This Is It" shirts online, I refuse to buy any new shirts with MJ on them (like the ones in Hot Topic and Spencer). One reason is because, like you, the emotion involved is not the same and I feel upset, and another reason is the fabric/design of those shirts feel and look too cheap for their average $20 price tag.
