I know most of us here are Prince fans, but does Jay-Z have fans just as rabid as us? I mean who here is really a Jay-Z "fan". Collecting hard to find underground mixtapes and such, following his every move?

When you say "do it"...do you mean grab the hottest chick in the r&b game and one of the most beautiful girls in the entertainment industry?

I posed the question a while back....did he upgrade her? Or did she upgrade him?

I don't consider myself a Jay-Z fan, but he has done some great tracks. However, that mofo is hard 2 look at.

And Jaydiohead which is the Jay Z/Radiohead mashup. http://jaydiohead.com/

They really don't. confused Considering her talent, she never gives me nothing to remember. Maybe "Crazy in Love" but that's about it. confused

Yeah, that's the only song of hers that's lasted. Maybe "Speechless" too, from her first album.

"Crazy In Love" for the horns. Also "Get Me Bodied" for me. I love that song for some reason. Maybe it's the beat more than the actual song.

Are you asking how did Jay Z pull Beyonce?

Well if you look at the 'soldier' video and listen to the lyrics - you'd see what kinda guys she goes for.

In order: Jay robbed the cradle. That's all. It should be no surprise that she would like older men. Look at her (still very weird to me) relationship with her father. That should explain so much.

Now to the quote: HELL YES! Although where we are Prince diehards who analyze and do a critical breakdown of all things Prince. Jay fans have adpated that gene and morhped into entirely different beings: STANS. A term first coined by Marshall Mathers, STANS have a dangerous level of loyalty and a slight obsession with their favorite anything. (Note that Michael Jackson has stans too.) I wasn't allowed to converse with my brother for months when Jay-Z finally blew up. My mother saw that it would become entirely too heated. I didn't/don't like him like that. My brother isn't a STAN, but he's a fan for sure. I tease him, much like everyone teases me about Prince.

The defining factor is that STANS develop their favorite rappers' likeness. In case you don't know what I'm referring to, hit YouTube for Eminem's "Stan". Stan proceeds to alter his physical appearance to look like Em. He behaves and neglects other aspects in his life to focus on Em. Same thing with Jay-Z STANS. Jay endorses a certain brand of alcohol, they drink it. Jay doesn't wear jerseys anymore, neither to they. Jay says Beyonce is the baddest: THESE FOOLS BELIEVE IT. (Seriously, she's okay, but denying her natural hair color and coasting by being "light skinned" is not THAT beautiful. I prefer Gabrielle Union.) They must recite, they must praise and damn near worship Jay Z, who calls himself The GOD MC. (Only that he's NOT the God MC. That's Rakim. But it's cool I guess, just like he stole "The Ruler" from Slick Rick.)

You can tell I'm not a fan/supporter or anything close to the nature of one. I love Hip Hop, but I feel he's above average, but not the greatest ever. Many disagree, I make valid points, he can be your favorite, but PLEASE DON'T SAY HE'S THE BEST. That honestly irritates me to unprecedented levels. But to bring this post back to the original topic: As a Prince fan I've never worn assless pants. I still struggle with walking in heels, but they're gender appropriate, so what are you gonna do? I am not an extreme freak in terms of my sexuality. (Even though he dialed it back SEVERAL notches.) I don't think they are as severe, but they are very extreme levels of "fandom". His fans are crazy too, but I suppose there are crazier fans of the purple persuasion. That's a given, and I am entirely biased towards Prince. And I technically loathe Jay-Z. Weird right? Peace & b Wild.

Peace, Hip Hop & Purple Rain
