Jermaine & Latoya At the MOBO Awards

Well look who made it to the Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards last night in Glasglow.

Jackson famewhore 1 & 2.

-----Jermaine Jackson and his sister La Toya led tributes to their late brother Michael Jackson at the Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards in Glasgow last night.
The King of Pop was posthumously honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award, which was accepted on his behalf by Jermaine.
Holding her brother's hand on stage at the city's SECC venue, La Toya admitted she was 'not at all' coming to terms with the shocking death of her younger brother on June 25.

La Toya, 53, spoke of the family's loss before introducing Jermaine, 54, who went on to perform the Charlie Chaplin song Smile, believed to be Michael's favourite song.
Jermaine said: 'My brother was everything to me. He was a wonderful artist and a wonderful human being.
'I'm here to do what I can, it is part of our responsibility as a family to continue his legacy and keep it alive.'
Britain's Got Talent contestant Shaheen Jafargholi, who performed at Michael's memorial in July, also took to the stage to sing Jackson 5 hit I'll Be There.
BGT winners, dance troupe Diversity - who were due to join the Thriller star during his UK gigs - also performed in memory of Jackson.

I don´t think Mike´s legacy needs these to to keep living. It can take care of itself.

I think Mike´s legacy can take care of itself without these two "helping it".

I understand if people are turned off by the sight of these two fame whoring themselves at every opportunity, but let's keep in mind that that is his family and they know and love him in ways that we are incapable of measuring and it is beyond our comprehension. Michael is their brother. He is their blood sibling, not ours. That being said I think that they are well within their rights to go where they want, when they want, to scream his name from the rooftops as loud as they want. We might get sick of seeing them in the process
( I know I am), but I'm not going to be preseumptuous enough to tell another person how they should grieve their family member or how they should dedicate themselves to that family member's legacy.

I wish somebody would have the nerve to tell me how I could or couldn't dedicate myself to preserving the legacy of someone I loved...in my own family? Please, they would meet a talk to the hand with the quickness bored2

I agree with that in regards to Latoya. But after reading Jermaines ex wifes book I really loathe Jermaine and see him in the same light as Joe.

I saw it last night and really La Toya and Jermaine could end up messing up MJ's legacy both of them made the event look cheap, sorry they should stay in the crowd and just come up and collect the awards .... that's all..

Actually, I love seeing the Jacksons (Michael's family). At least they are saying GOOD things about him. Unlike, some other people in the media who love to paint Michael in a very negative light.

Exactly. Why criticize Jermaine and Latoya?
What about the cats that are really capitalizing on MJ's
death like the record companies, the folks making the movie
This Is It and the folks merchandising his t-shirts,key chains, etc? If Tito shits a brick and gets paid for it,is
he gonna be accused of capitalizing on MJ's death too? rolleyes

That's true, it could be worse.

Straight up.

Jermaine and LaToya are Michael's brother. Jermaine has always defended his brother Michael. he was always screaming his little bro's innocence around the world this past decade, same with La Toya (besides that time ...)

I don't know why people keep hating on these siblings.

Not hating on them at all hell at one time Jermaine career was great, but I look at them now and say where was all this love when their brother needed it the most. There would not have been anyone who could've stopped me from getting to my brother when he obviously needed intervention/help. Sure there is nothing like the love of a sibling even when he was the most famous person on the planet-where were they?

they both retracted their statements. how bout u get with the program. Where Janet when michael was in trouble? Promoting her new album. Where was Janet when Michael died? Working on a new album and releasing a new single. How has Janet helped Michael keep his legacy alive? By being forced by her father to perform at the VMAs.

giggle

Janet had an album out before MJ's trial unlike Latoya dear. Who had a reality show for a week and started an album that has been Startin Over (pun intended) since '05. And also these two don't have to do anything to keep MJ's legacy alive. It's already doing fine on it's own! And it has been for a decade now even before his death.
