OK, I listened to her music for the first time and it´s all so same nowadays. It could have been easily Britney´s music, but I must say Britney´s music has slightly more melody. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

But anyone who's familiar with P's early interviews (1978-1981) will get a strange sense of deja vu watching this. She's on the record as being a big Prince fan and she's obviously latched on to one of his early strategies. If only Dick Clark and American Bandstand were still around she could make her homage even more complete. Absolutely! That's the first thing that struck me when I watched it (2 mins ago)! Very Prince-like strategies, but she's different in different interviews. When she was in the UK a few months back, she was interviewed on Paul O'Grady (tea time show), and she was much more down to earth, friendly, chatty, chewing toffees, and being really sweet to a child on there... her performance was amazing though, and really made me sit up and take notice!! It was a ridiculous question though... Oh, and I don't think she's like Madonna at all, she's much better than Madonna [Edited 10/1/09 15:44pm] Yeah, in his early interviews the interviewer would ask him a boring question and instead of answering he'd say things like "Does your pubic hair run up to your belly button?" Just crazy stuff. The interviewers wouldn't know if he was joking or not because he'd look completely serious. Same thing on American Bandstand. When he blanked Dick Clark people didn't know what he was doing. The truth is he was deliberately trying to turn question-and-answer sessions into something more interesting and less banal. Just messing with people's minds. Lady Gaga has been taking notes, although Prince himself probably got it from Andy Warhol who used to do the exact same thing. Often he'd give just one word answers, thus making his interviews more memorable. God, this woman is so boring and contrived. As is the case with most people who dress in a "shocking" fashion, she has nothing to say.
