Hilarious Lady GaGa interview

I love this woman. She laughs at the interviewer while maintaining a straight face.

"What do you look for in a partner?"

"A big dick."

I gotta say that as much as I don't like her music, she strikes me a bit as witty. I like that.
I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt.

She's copying Prince's early interview style. He used to give crazy answers completely deadpan just like this. It's a bit too obvious with her though.

Well, thanks for telling me that, oh wise one! rolleyes Duh! Of course not. But anyone who's familiar with P's early interviews (1978-1981) will get a strange sense of deja vu watching this.

She's on the record as being a big Prince fan and she's obviously latched on to one of his early strategies. If only Dick Clark and American Bandstand were still around she could make her homage even more complete.

Fuck no Beyonce wouldn't! Beyonce would have at first bursted out laughing and then mid stream, she would have gotten her ass up and walked out. "I'm sorry, I can't do this!" razz Nah,...I've always liked Lady GaGa. I think she's cool because she's trying to bring excitement back to music in her visual dress. Visually, she's Glam Rock from the 70's more than anything, in my thought. I liked her responses in this interview, overall. She wants to give off an air that counteracts her visual image when she performs. Very subdued, deep thinker type ala Bowie in the 70's, Gene Simmons speaking in full makeup and costume in the 70's and now, Prince early in his career, Marilyn Manson, etc. All these mentioned were known for their wild personas so they wanted to balance that and perhaps maybe contradict that when they gave interviews. That's what I see from her in this. But she seems cool.

beyonce i think would have bursted out into nervous giggles and then would have tried to politely say "i can't answer that question". i hear ya about Gaga though she seems very cool but don't you think of her as a Dale Bozzio rip off? Dale did everything Gaga is doing now, first!!

Actually, she is similar to Dale with Missing Persons. I actually love Missing Persons. Their first few albums were off the hook! Great memories those songs bring me. Yeah, I see the resemblence to Dale visually more so than I do in her sound. But I think that's cool too though. Dale was super HOT back in the early 80's and Blondie was super HOT in the late 70's and Madonna from mid 80's and 90's...Lady Ga Ga is trying to make it her time and right on for her, u know? She's not scared in trying to evoke some folks and make it work for her.

Ever since I found out one of her role models is Peggy Bundy, I became a big Lady GaGa fan.

well i've been thinking that from day 1. most people compare her to madge since i guess alot of people don't know who dale bozzio is but if they knew i'm sure they'd see it too! i do think she's taken on madge's vibe though with being shocking and controversial. i love me some missing persons!!

I can dig it...I think the ONLY reason she gets compared to Madonna is because most don't know who else to compare her to. That's how it is and how it always will be. I think she wants that reference because it'll bring her attention. Two, I don't think she's hardly tripping because I think she's a fan of Madonna, Dale and Blondie. When I first saw her, I thought she looked like Christina made up to look like Britney. But she has an aura about her that is different from either one. She has more edge. So because of that, I think people think of Madonna. I don't see Madonna anywhere on Lady Ga Ga though. like you, I do see Dale Bozzio on her bigtime.

Absolutely! That's the first thing that struck me when I watched it (2 mins ago)! Very Prince-like strategies, but she's different in different interviews. When she was in the UK a few months back, she was interviewed on Paul O'Grady (tea time show), and she was much more down to earth, friendly, chatty, chewing toffees, and being really sweet to a child on there... her performance was amazing though, and really made me sit up and take notice!! It was a ridiculous question though... wink

Oh, and I don't think she's like Madonna at all, she's much better than Madonna razz
