This is one of my favorite songs, whose original title, "Ue o muite aruko", means "I shall walk looking up". Some have said that this title comes from a man who is facing execution for falling in love with someone that he should not of. The title was changed to "Sukiyaki" by Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen. When one of the members of "A Taste Of Honey" rewrote the lyrics, she stuck to the "changed" title of the song....
