Back in the day we used to hear Jams like these by local DC band, The Soul Searchers--The would later gain greater fame through their first big hit, "Bustin Loose" and later as Chuck Brown became the Godfather of the Go-Go scene--but back in 72-74, The Soul Searchers had this feel:
