Charlie Wilson - Without You Taken from his second solo album Bridging the Gap
which is better than his two Jive album releases. Don't laugh at my funk

Damn, I don't remember this song being so long.. I think they edited the hell out of the radio version. definitely prefer this to his more recent stuff At this point in history, we have a choice to make

I prefer this whole album to his
recent two releases. Another Man w/case and Charlie's Angel was tough. He also had a duet with Angie Stone that was tough too. It's hard to believe this album came out 2000. Don't laugh at my funk

Too bad his subsequent releases didn't have the style of this. His best solo song by far.

Meh!
Uncle Charlie is my HEART, man! But I just couldn't get into his solo stuff as much as I tried,,,,,the material sound SO tame compared to the stuff he did with the Gap fellas. Hell, I even loved their 1999 album which is considered to be their weakest,,,,he seems like he's at his HIGHEST spirit whenever he's with them, as opposed to singing solo.

Darn i thought i was the only one who had a copy of Funkin til 2000. I like a few songs off of it but it was pretty weak. It seemed as though they loss their creativity on it. Uncle Charlie seems to enjoy what he's doing now. I just don't care for his recent two releases. Don't laugh at my funk

Charlie does sound more up to it with his brothers than he does by himself...
