Kurt Cobain and his band Nirvana (Grunge band of Seattle) knocked Michael Jackson's Dangerous album off the #1 spot on the charts with their 2nd album Nevermind which was released on September 24, 1991. Up until his death, Grunge concured the rock scene.

He was married to(ex) Hole singer Courtney Love and had a daughter with her named Francis Bean. But as Nirvana's fame began to rise, Kurt's depression, chronic stomach pains and his addiction to Heroin was taking its toll on himself,carrer and his marriage. Then on March 4, 1994 just a month before his death and while staying in Rome, he was rushed to the hospital after he had swallowed a large dose of sleeping pills (Rohypnol-the date rape drug) with a bottle of champagne. He survived after spending 5 days in an a coma. Then 3 weeks later on March 30, he checked into a rehab clinic in Marina Del Rey CA but fled back to Seattle after 2 days. Then on April 5,he went down to his greenhouse, shot up a dose of Heroin and shot himself with a shotgun, he was just 27.

The worst damage Ian Halperin has done was over the death of Kurt Cobain, lead singer of Nirvana who had shot himself with a shotgun after injecting a final dose of Heroin on April 5, 1994, he was just 27. People already believed Halperin and his 2 books (Who Killed Kurt Cobain and Love and Death) he wrote with Max Wallace. They've been making bad remarks about Cobain's wife Courtney Love being involved in his death. Another thing is that they even make bad remarks about Kurt's biographer Charles Cross and his book Heavier Than Heaven.
