Deniece Williams "I Can't Wait" on SOUL TRAIN

this is probably my favorite song
from after the LHIFTB era

I've always trashed her mid-late 80's material
but this song comes from her album
As Good As It Gets
which I listened to in entirety
a few days ago, and it's better than I thought cool

Yep. She did "We Are Here To Change The World". She had the only released version of that song for a long time (until the MJ boxed set came out).

That's true, but her first gospel album is a classic also. It ranks among her best sellers. It was a perfect album on so many different levels.

wow.. that's a huge statement
I may have to check this out cool
what is the album title?

I know what I didn't care for tho
and that was Hot On The Trail
I'm flat out AFRAID to even push play
on Water Under The Bridge or whatever
the name of that album was...

It was this way with Aretha & Chaka & Natalie as well
and I have warmed up to their 80s stuff easier than I thought
so why not give Deniece a shot.. you know? lol

did you like the clip?
it's so funky.. gives me
"Part-Time Lover" by Stevie
it just feels good

I remember I heard "I Can't Wait" on a
trip back home from seeing my "sometimes boyfriend"
I had this album stored on my ZUNE
and I had it on "shuffle all songs"

fell in love instantly
love the bassline & the whole late 80s cheesy feel of it lol

So Glad I Know

It is a very good gospel album.

I agree with you about the other ladies. Their late 80s albums were horrible (for the most part).
