Diana's early-70s singles are so underrated. This song is GREAT,and so is "I'm Still Waiting","Remember Me","Touch Me In The Morning" and others. She was given some top-notch songs to sing.

Yep. Because of Timmy I'm listening to -call me Ms. Ross - a lot more often these days with "new ears" and appreciation. As I've mentioned in a previous thread giver her the right material and producers..... she was damn good.

It's interesting for sure. Bought the Hip-O re-release a couple of years back, country-tinged. I hadn't heard one song off it before then, now it's one of my faves from her.

Yeah, the title track does have a country feel to it.A very bold song for her,at that time.I also like "Love Me" and "Sleepin",from that album.

Loves this song since I was a teen. I've lost the use of my heart, But I'm still alive, Still looking for the life, The endless pool on the other side, It's a wild wild west, I'm doing my best, I'm a soldier of love, Every day and night, I'm soldier of love, All the days of my life.
