If you are on Dancing with the stars does that mean....

Your career is through and you are trying to re-start it? I really never watched it before until this week because Mya, Kelly Osbourne and Macy Gray were on it. All 3 of them as well as the rest of the contestants really have'nt had much "success" recently, so are they using the show as a way of kick starting their careers? Also Mya was really good, Kelly shocked me being as good as she was and Macy Gray was just odd and not graceful at all. What do you all think?

In most cases, yes. People tend to use it as a "relaunching" tool (or a launching tool in some cases) to boost their career.

Take for instance, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, George Hamilton, John O'Hurley, Drew Lache, and Mario Lopez all got jobs after they appeared on the show. It hasn't worked for everyone, but it has helped quite a few people.

It helped Toni Braxton to get another record contract. Atlantic Records scooped her up after her appearance on the show.

As far as reality shows go, it's one of the best ones. Unlike AI, you can see the contestants work hard and grow as the show progresses. It's a little inspiring to see people succeed at something outside of their comfort zone.

So true. It's also one of those shows (like the Biggest Loser) where you see people struggling to lose weight and achieve a goal.
