Dumb what Anderson Cooper questions about the MJ footage

http://www.cnn.com/video/...monday.cnn

What a dumbass.

Watching the video it's quite obvious that he's talking, even starts singing without the music, and is just loosely singing...

Your response is totally void of anything human or worthy of critique. You demean Mr. Cooper, and yourself, by using homophobic slurs against both MJ and Mr. Cooper.

Cooper is a reporter, and has a right to call into question whether someone is singing live or not, just as much as a politician lying or not. You don't have to agree with the question, or the answer, but when you demote yourself and disrespect yourself, and others, by using homophobic epithets, you're totally discredited as even being a human being.

Anderson Cooper is more concerned with looking good on camera than he is actually reporting. His whole show is corny. If I hear "We have Breaking News" one more time I'm going to vomit. He just reports the latest news cycle & add's a juiced up take on it. The state of media jounalism is pretty sad in general.

C'mon, folks, don't you think saying that he's a dumbass is harsh? If not harsh, it is at least, inaccurate. Cooper has long proven himself to be a steadfast academic, a brave journalist, and a competent writer who is always connected to the pulse of some of the most important global crises and issues facing us today.

I find it interesting that simply because a person has spent more time invested in the world of academia, then essentially a decade of their life tripping over mine fields in combat zones and writing prize winning articles on global issues that we would give them so much flack for not being up to date on the things that happen in our pop culture universe. He wasn't that into pop culture when he was a child and went with his Mom and Micheal to Studio 54 (he didn't even know who Michael was but has said he was awed by his dancing). I think it's a safe bet that having spent his formative adult years ducking bombs in Kosovo or these last years tracking 9 year old soldiers in Zimbabwe.. sort of leaves him out of the loop for being able to pin down a good segment on pop performances. That's not even his world...ignorant about the subject being reported on, fair enough. A dumbass? Not by a longshot hammer

Anderson probably DIDN'T want to even coverage this silly stupid shit, but the powers that be made him. If I remember he didn't want to cover Anna Nicole Smith either nor Britney or Lindsey' break downs. He doesn't much care for celebrity drug addicts.

he refuses to say the Names Paris and Britney on his show... someone else will do it.

Is' not about academia, although his question raises doubts about realistic value to any of that in real world terms, it's about seeing and hearing something obvious not being able to interpret the information he got through his ears and eyes and logically interpreting the reality. Combine that with reporting on an industry where lipsynching is a critical accusation, and then compound that with the fact that it is the controversial late performer Michael Jackson, and you have some idiocy that's more worthy of Nancy Grace. I usually think Cooper is cool and smart, but this was kind stupid. Yes a very dumb question he posed if you just look and listen to the video. And then this gets published on CNN. News media is so idiotic sometimes. Nancy Grace takes the cake usually. Not this time. Actually her coverage of the accused Yale killer lab worker is much worse.

I agree. It is not just because of what you said it is the inconsistency of how people do this. The amount of people that I know that are not anti gay but then use it as a negative reference-it just doesn't stack up-even on a pedantic level

Basically Anderson Cooper, who has a large audience, for some inexplicable reason, reports and comments on a raw clip of Michael Jackson rehearsing with a live band. Cooper softly questions the possibility that the voice sounds so good that it might be fake. But if you watch the clip it is obvious that the singing is real. so obvious in fact that it makes Cooper seem like a thoughtful questioning IDIOT in that moment.

It's like he's making up a controversy (no pun intended) by pulling something ridiculous (with no basis) out of his ass for the sake of coming across as probing and insightful.
