DAMNIT SADE!!! why does it take her 50 years to release an album???
been listening to 'Lover's Rock' a lot lately and i'm craving something new from her. one of my favourite albums from start to finish. it's perfection. all her albums are brilliant actually. but it's about damn time for something new. i've not heard of anything coming out. unless one of you Sade-heads can clue me in. what are your favourite tracks or albums by her. I thought November.
Lover's Rock is my favorite album of hers and one of my favorites of all time by anyone. I love every track start to finish.

On a local Quiet Storm radio station, the DJ mentioned that her new CD is due in November.

they say november..I would say another year...
Lovers rock (their best) brilliant,,,and that was the follow up to Love duluxe. wich was a great album... hence fourth...the follow up 2 lovers most likley will be a masterpiece. Sade only breaks her silence when she is inspired This band is one of the best. all the music is timeless. There are songs on Diamond Life that still sound fresh

I like Sade but Lovers Rock is my least favorite by them/her.
I miss the saxophone on it and the lyrics didn´t really do much for me. I liked Love De Luxe though, that is probably one of my favorite albums. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

In the meantime Bria's CD is out there to fill the void. "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page

I see you've begun your career in stand-up comedy. Well, there is a recession and I could use a second paycheck. "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page

I see you've begun your career in stand-up comedy. yeah bria is no sade ...not even close. I like Sade but Lovers Rock is my least favorite by them/her.
I miss the saxophone on it and the lyrics didn´t really do much for me. I liked Love De Luxe though, that is probably one of my favorite albums robert mathewman took a larger hand on guitar rather than sax on lovers rock.. showed alot of versatility...i do miss the sax a lil'...like how he kicked it on "Jesabele'....or "Is it a crime"...I disagre with u when it comes to the writing...it was superb for me...but I'm glad that u are down with sade... Well it really shocked me to hear Prince reference Sade I think she must be one of the biggest psuedo sophisticated bullshit artist (popstar) of all time. She totally existed for folks in the late 80's who were drinking wine and snorting coke while checking their share prices. I don't have Prince's latest album coz in the UK and not part of his website but I always assumed that he thought Bria would fill a gap in the market because it is a market I assume exists. I thought he was being a business man-I hope to God he doesnt actually rate it

I liked Love De Luxe though, that is probably one of my favorite albums. ha ha ...you could´ve done that...in AMSTERDAM ! I´m thinking about a trip to the USA in mid fall/early winter. I need a break from this country, from this continent, and the people here.More info later. Nice to see that we have similar tastes when it comes to Sade and porn. There´s nothing on it that really memorable except for By Your Side, Lovers Rock and King of Sorrow. Mathewman should have played more sax AND guitar....same goes for the Maxwell material without Mathewman....most of it sounds like there´s something missing. They both should have stayed true to their sound and style, or else they´ll be chasing their own sound like Prince is doing these days (without success). It simply doesn´t sound like a strong Sade album. Not that I entirely dislike it because it could be a charming b-sides collection but as an album, it really isn´t strong enough especially after such a long hiatus. Stronger Than Pride and Love De Luxe are VERY good albums, in my opinion. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
