Producing...Electric Light Orchestra...

Considering so many people consider Prince a whiz for his production expertise, it amazes me that nobody's talked about Jeff Lynne and his studio mastery of the 1970s. I mean, damn, Eldorado is in my opinion, one of the best albums of that decade.

Who, if anyone, also likes ELO?

and...
Who else do you admire for their production abilities?

I love ELO.My favorite songs are...

"Evil Woman"(1975)
"Strange Magic"(1976)
"Showdown"(1974)
"Sweet Talkin Woman"(1976)
"Turn To Stone"(1977)
"Shine A Little Love"(1979)

I never get enough of their heavily orchestrated rock/pop sound which sounded so good on the radio back then.

i can't stand ELO, but for some reason i like jeff lynne as a producer... i like the work he did with tom petty (both solo and with the heartbreakers), george harrison, the travelling willburys, and so forth and so on... he's got a very distict sound...

but, i still can't get into ELO... i've tried, but it just ain't happening...

I Agree with those Jams.I wonder what a Jam with Jeff Lynne&Freddie Mercury might have been like?? Jeff Lynne is Badd No Doubt.
