I like his type of rap because it's not overly vulgar/violent and he's not a one note type guy talking the same crap over and over and using the same beats over and over. I never cared much for whether he got shot once or a dozen times (not into the thuggish been to prison type image). I respect his marketing and business savvy, vocal style (spittin' as they say), and plus he looks amazing between the ankles and the neck. He can switch up between hard and soft and in that sense reminds me of what I used to love about Pac. All that's left for me is Fiddy, Nas and Dre (sometimes) and TIP. All them others are... so so. If I want to giggle tho, I will take some weazy topped off with Mac 10.

You don't find "Lollipop" vulgar? This guys has degrading lyrics about woman and constantly goes on about insane materialism (Get Rich or Die Trying) and you don't see that as being one note?

Are you really listening to the lyrics or paying any attention to the sterotypical image he is putting out about black males?

I am not going to even go into the fact that he has a face only a mother could love because beauty is in the eye of the beholder but really this dude is no-talent sterotype if ever we had one.

I do find lollipop vulgar to a certain extent but that is one track. Ying Yang Twins more vulgar than Fiddy. ill Overall, I don't find Fiddy's body of work to be routinely vulgar. Some rappers just focus on the vulgarity and the violence which is what I don't care for. As for GRODT, what rapper hasn't focused on material things either lyrically or visually? I think when Fiddy raps about money and money issues he does it as a form of comedy and not necessarily preaching that money is all that matters.

You really think HE did that? I always found that story suspicious because all six people who were there only suffered "smoke inhilation" and it happened days after a heated argument in Shaniqua's attorneys office or some shit. I can't see him trying to kill his own son nor can I see him killing anyone and failing at it. She went on blast after the incident so I wondered if maybe she and her homies did it to tip the court scales in her favor. I mean she wanted half of his earnings even though they never married. neutral

50 was the only one who benefited from that house burning down (insurance money).
She's a goldigger and a hoodrat but it would not have helped her to burn the house down; especially with the kid there. I can believe a father setting a house on fire or paying someone to before I can believe a mother doing it with herself and her child in the house, too. I believe someone in 50's crew did it. The money trail leads back to him.

Dude was a drug dealer. Trust me his raps about materialism are not concerning anything legal and I do not think he is joking.

Aren't you bothered by the coon/thug/ inarticulate image he puts out.

If not I guess the public really does love sterotypes.

So a faggot is a jackass to you? Are all gay people faggots, and/or jackasses?

You can say that, but I don't go around spouting NI**ER saying "Oh it just means lazy to me, not black or negro or w/e."

Stop it. It ain't cool. Being gay isn't a punchline or a joke or a cliche. Find a new word.

Because crazy things have been known to happen during bitter splits and I don't think his baby momma is a saint. Plus I thought he loved his son. I'm not saying it's not possible but just hard to believe that he would bring all that suspicion on himself. If the allegations are true, he should be in jail for attempted murder shouldn't he?

Harsh....I'm not saying it's true. I don't consider him a disgrace because the man has done some good things since he's gotten famous. I just don't like the fact that he refers to women as "bitches" and "hoes". To me, 50 is just another product of a marketing machine. He did what he had to do to get paid. I'm sure if he hadn't found shit-hop, he would be dead by now.

If you would have actually listened to Pac's early albums you would see how moronic your statement is. Pac's vocal delivery, lyrics and personality are things 50 could never achieve in his wildest dreams. Only reason he has hits is cause he's afiiliated with Dr. Dre.
[Edited 9/28/09 12:41pm]

I said Pac was evolving into something great and that we would never see his brand of rap again. How is that moronic? And you don't think "I Get Around" sounds like something Fiddy could have done? You're not making any sense with that post. hmph!

Could Fiddy have done Brenda's Got A Baby, Trapped, Keep Ya Head Up, Part Time Mutha or Papaz Song?

Umm no!

I think he could have done those songs if they had been initial releases at the start of his career. Fiddy came out rappin bout the club and wankster but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a soft side where he could have done the above songs. I mean 21 questions was a good start. I give him time. lol

I'll admit, I'm actually beginning to like 50 Cent again, even though he has been a proper coon in the last few years with some of his stuff. But he seems to have improved, especially since he's been going after the other shit hop brigade like Rick Ross and co.
Before he got shot in the jaw, 50 actually used to be a very fast and energetic rapper, and still manages to come up with some good material, usually when its produced by Dr Dre.

He's a naturally funny guy, you should see the videos he's been posting up on his youtube channel, they are hilarious!

He has a good sense of humour, and you should watch this one where he starts crying after having listened to the new Fat Joe CD.

and especially this one! Where he starts "crying" after being attacked by Rick Ross, lmao! Anyone who makes fun of Rick Ross deserves plaudits!

Couldn't stop laughing at that!
He doesn't even bother to do a diss record, he just does some comedy instead, and is not afraid to make fun of himself either.

I agree, I never understood the mass appeal. But thats the problem with Hip-Hop today, lyrical content takes a back seat to image. There is a lot of great music out there that NEVER sees the light of day. My local "hip-hop" radio station is content playing the same 5-7 songs (no exaggeration) over and over again, and its sad and pathetic. So a guy like 50 (I don't want to call him an artist) can't loose, he has the image and the machine (Interscope) behind him. So he's damn near guaranteed to sell units and get air time. Sad, sad stuff disbelief
Lady Cab Driver is one of the greatest songs ever!

I can concur with you that 21 Questions is a hot song, but I can't be in love with Fiddy....mainly because I usually don't understand a word he is saying UNLESS he is rapping. Should change his name to Mumbles like Dick Tracy. He is hot from the neck down too though. Just something about it, I can't pput my finger on it

I love that character. Especially when he starts laughing at Dick for playing the tape of his mumbling. He's like "you can't understand that shit and neither can I...case closed!" Then Dick slows the tape to where it's intelligible and Mumbles starts crying. Fucking classic!!!

I digress....

50 is hot. I love his meaty buffalo fuckin ass and I normally don't like buff dudes. You're right though, when he's speaking you do have to turn on the bionic ear.

whofarted Fiddy fucks meaty buffalos??? I'm not surprised . . . confused

anyone who knows anything about hip hop knows that 50 was the genius creation of Dr. Dre and Eminem

if 50 were left on his own to rap or find beats - he would be in the gutter where he started

but i kinda like his show on MTV where he tries to be Donald Trump

and even though i am a dude i think he is very good looking

he is packaged very well - gunshots and all

and he made a lot of people rich

but he gets little respect from anyone who knows anything about real hip-hop
