grandebelle said: [color=indigo]Justin was good in Alpha Dog, SNL is awesome. His music tends to
be lacking depth and the hooks are boring, but the bass is cool. However, I always liked Prince in UTCM. If he worked on it, Prince could be really good, especially in serious parts. I'm still waiting 4 his nest movie. Prince actually showed a good flair for comedy in UTCM, but the "serious" moments were embarrassing. He just can't let go enough to be a serious dramatic actor, but he was great when he was playing the pimp version of Charlie Chaplin. He could have had success if he'd have focused on that aspect of his screen persona. The "serious" stuff didn't work as well. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

The only movies that he was awful in was 'Love Guru' (everyone was awful in that waste of film so I can't just blame Justin); and, 'Shrek 3' (which was also pretty bad due to more than just him). 'Edison Force' (which went straight to DVD), 'Black Snake Moan' (his crying like a chick was very beliveable), and 'Alpha Dog' (which he was outstanding in IMHO) were his best films and he's always really good on SNL. People hate Justin, which doesn't bother me any because these same people like artists that I absolutely can't stand either, so to each his/her own. I like Justin and don't think he's any faker than any other artist or celebrity that's out now. He's a hard worker who has never half-assed at anything that he puts his name on and I can't hate anyone who puts in the work it takes to better themselves and their careers. People can hate on dude all they want to, don't hurt or change my feelings about him. JT is cool to me. I hope he's good in this new Facebook movie...it should be interesting at least. Shit, who do I have to give a BJ to to be as successful as JT? anyway I like the guy, he seems to completely lack personality but I like some of his music. esp Lovestoned. besides he's never had a bad thing to say about someone else so I respect him. 2012: The Queen Returns

If you believe the rumours, Lou Pearlman. Anyone who can say a nice thing about that bloodsucker is a saint and/or gullible and dumb as dog shit. He screwed soo many artists that he doesn't deserve respect. He was like the extremely evil and soul-less version of Barry Gordy. Prince Rogers Nelson

Ages ago I was willing to give Pearlman the benefit of the doubt, but the more details came out the more obvious it was what a reprehensible snake that fat fuck really is. I sincerely hope that he gets the same treatment in prison that he gave "his" boys all those years. Though I understand the desire for privacy, I really wish some of the guys that were in boybands under his control were willing to speak to authorities and testify at a proper trial, so he'd get his fat ass nailed for pedophilia and coercion as well as financial fraud. Agreed. He's always seemed like such a slimball to me, even back when he was calling himself the '6th Backstreet Boy'. Dude was just creepy. Nothing that happened in the end surprised me. My roommate used to work for one of his 'companies' and was making mad money, but then the 'company' went belly-up because of his snaky business ways. Pearlman deserves everything he got in the end. Karma's a bitch in the end no matter how famous or rich a person is. Prince Rogers Nelson

Karma's a bitch in the end no matter how famous or rich a person is. I don't know if you've ever seen it but there was this old European release promo video from '96 or so for the Backstreet Boys that Pearlman makes appearances in and even there there's something vaguely inappropriate about his behaviour. When I heard he wanted them to call him Big Poppa, I actually felt a little ill. Even my 12 year old ass could see something wrong was going on, even if I wasn't clear on what it was. My best friend and I, who were both heavy into the boyband scene in the late 90's, have made this sort of sick game of guessing who in which group had to "take it for the team". I'm not going to say who publicly, but at least one of our guesses we've had confirmed as right. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

So let me get this straight: you're saying he didn't even have enough screen presence to make you watch the whole film? Not a very convincing argument in that case.
