Am I the only who wishes he'd blown up a few years earlier? I think he should have done a full on Horror-Core album ala Gravediggaz. Unreleased freestyles (often re-interpretted into weaker songs on his later albums) are downright scary. I can't imagine 2pac, Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z... etc beating him in a battle. He doesn't get enough credit for his awesome flows, yeah the growling and "WHAT!"'s got a bit repetitive and his attempt at Party anthems can't compare to Pac or Bigger but when it comes to passionate delivery and interesting, energetic flows he's hard to top.
I wish he wasn't so closely associated with Swizz Beatz, even though they've made a few hits I feel Swizz's electro-club brand of Hip-Hop didn't quite fit X as well as say a Jay-Z type.
Honestly can you think of collabo he's done where he was outshone by another MC?
All his albums I personally feel suffered from average production, Irv Gotti and Swizz aint no master composers, X was the strength behind his huge sales, not hot producers.

What is the deal with these two new albums? They keep getting pushed back.

I am a fan of DMX.He is definitely ahead of his time, it is just a sad shame that he has allowed drugs to overtake his rap career. I wish he would get his crap together, because he has the potential for being a great star.

DMX was talented and that's my cousin's favorite rapper, but yeah it's sad what's happened to him. I hope he gets his mind right.

With all due respect to his fans, I wouldn't miss DMX if he never recorded another track.

I used to be really into him, too. Have all of his CDs.

I remember when Ja Rule called him "Crack Man X" after X started dissing him. It was funny. I always thought X was a hater when it came to Ja.

I don't know much about drug problems and certainly didn't know they were still a issue. Him pretended to be a federal agent was funny for the "WTF were you thinking?" aspect.
The funniest thing anyone ever said bout Ja was Busta in the Murder Inc Diss over the Hail Mary track.

Personally I don't mind Ja, not a huge fan of his party songs but "Daddy's Little Baby", both "Race Against Time"'s, "Fuck You", "Last of the Mohicans" and "Only Begotten Son" are good tracks. If he's a Pac imitator then so is 3/4 of the rap AND R&B cats that have come out since '97. That Blood in My Eye album was pathetic though, "The Wrap" and the new version of "It's Murda" were the only tracks I liked and his replies to 50's disses were weak.
