I'm going have to call these "recession" divas.

We have Jennifer Hudson, Adele, Jordin Sparks, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus.

Where's Lil Mama?

Paula Abdul is the host. She opened with a montage of her songs and about near fell over trying to dance. Her lipsynch is not synched well. Plus it looks like American Idol is paying for this because Simon and Ryan are all over the place. Her comedic timing sucks so bad and her voice keeps cracking. It's just really sad to watch (Demerol?).

The she came out dress up and dancing like Ellen. Routine was good but why so bitter, ma?!? Kathy Griffith came out and they tried to be risque and raunchy.

The "divas" are doing their current songs and sound good but look boring.

Leona is doing a duet with Cyndi Lauper and thank goodness it's not Lil Kim! Is Cyndi just shopping out True Colors to whoever will sing it now?

We've come a long way from Whitney, Mariah, Celine and Aretha, haven't we.

I remember when DIVA was earned and meant something.

it is nice to see India Arie, even though she is not being billed a diva.

one thing with most of these divas, they seem to be eating well.... lots of thickness in the air!

Kelly and Melissa Etheridge (who seems to be pimping out Bring Me Some Water like Cyndi is pimping true Colors) but they sound really really good together.

Man, the only reason I would watch this show is because Adele and Jennifer Hudson are on it and they are both spectacular...only modern-day, vocally-talented divas that we have out right now IMHO.
