Just wanted to give a little side note info on my father's version....
James Jamerson, famed Motown session bassist, played bass on this track. He knew my dad personally. Ray Jackson, another friend of my dad's, a great pianist and arranger, played piano and arranged this song along with my father. James Gadson, a legendary session drummer who played on damn near everybody's records in the 70's, played drums on this. He too was a good friend of my dad's. Ray Jackson and James Gadson both later went on to tour with Bill Withers.

I grew up loving all 3 of those solos, along with Hendrix, Isley, etc, so I tried to tap into all of those, plus some other things, on this. Because the symbolism of my version and what it evoked in my mind and what the song represented to me personally, I was also paying tribute to guitarists that had influenced me.
