"Standing at the Crossroads" - What a sad and moving song. "They" absolutely don't write songs like that anymore. BlackGuitaritz, I think your Dad would be very proud of your tribute, I can feel where you put your heart into it. Moreover, I love how you put your own twist on it, and yet kept the original feel of the song intact. And I can definitely hear where Prince has been no small influence over your sound, lol. Great job man, and thanks for sharing. I would not have wanted to have missed it (having set no less than two separate alerts to have made certain that I didn't, lol).

I had the same problem at first. Either you need to update your codecs, or try a different media player. It only worked for me once I used WinAmp.

WOW! I've just heard the song (don't ask me how! ) It is totally amazing, I LOVE it. God, that guitar.... it's beautiful... I never thought any guitar playing would get to me like Prince's does! But... Like PDogz said I love the 'twist' I love the bells or chimes at the beginning, and I love the ending!! But staying true to the original song too. Very talented, he has a wonderful gift! And played all the instruments himself... just incredible! I need to listen to it again...
Oh.. love his voice talking through it too, in the second half of the song... very sexy, but that's probably just a 'girl thing'! [Edited 9/19/09 4:22am]

I gotta talk about BGZ's remake of "Standing at the Crossroads", man, you can feel the fucking tension in that version. I think his guitar really brought out all the drama you would expect, that guitar was shedding tears. There's few songs with guitar that plays like that that becomes emotional: "Maggot Brain", "Purple Rain", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", etc. BGZ's version fits that category to a fucking T!
