Taylor Dayne I am just listening to "Tell it to my heart", its a great song and she had a really powerful voice. I also heard she may be being considered as the new judge on American idol.
What do you all think of her [Edited 9/23/09 2:49am] So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

American Idol has its four judges. She will not be a judge on the show, unless it's a one time thing in one city, but they stopped doing that long ago.
She does have a powerful voice. Anastacia has the same voice and style. They even look alike. I wish they'd duet.

Can you fix the topic? It is Taylor Dayne.
Love her, she should've been a judge. She's from Paula's era, and she can sing her ass off.

She's rarely missed a beat on a song like that. Her Barry White cover was pretty damn awesome too. She really defined the Ric Wake production sound of the late 80's. I think it's Taylor's first album that really set the stage for music to change. Pop music in the 80's was still interesting, but when Taylor came out, that bigger production sound took over, and traveled well into the 90's in pop, hip-hop, funk and other genres. It has that reverb on everything, the can-sounding drums and percussion, all of that. There's just a definite step forward in 1987 in music. She took the first leap. Ric Wake worked with a lot of folks, including helping Christian singer Kathy Tricolli cross over to the pop charts. She had the same sound that Taylor did.

Have you ever heard of typos, and half of the keys on my computer are busted, so my posts are always full of missing letters. Get used to it, I have seen more attacks on spelling and the English language on this site than I have served up. I also have dyslexia so get off my case So what are u going 2 do? "SEND ME A LOVER" is one of my favourite songs and my favourite by her. "Soul Dancing" cd was sorely over looked.
side note... Celine Dion also has a version of "Send Me A Lover". LOVE ♪♫♪♫ ♣¤═══¤۩۞۩ஜ۩ஜ۩۞۩¤═══¤♣

Her last album, 2008's SATISFIED, was really good. She's so underrated as as singer.

GREAT vocalist. I saw her live at her peak in popularity, and she put on quite a show. A true powerhouse singer, she hasn't rec'd the credit she deserves.
I also love her take on the Jim Steinman tune "Original Sin." WAY over the top of course (it *is* Jim Steinman), but just a great song for her voice. * * *
