At the end of the day, I think what she was getting at is that while Whitney owned up to being a user, she did not own up to being an addict.

In fact, she dances around saying the phrase drug addiction throughout the interview. She euphemiszes alot of descriptors for her actions and behaviors when anyone who is remotely familiar withRecovery knows you have to be able to speak it aloud, no candy coating. It's intregal to the recovery process and allowing you to get that monkey off your back and keep it off.

So while I am ecstatic for Nip getting clean physically and wishing her the very best for her return to recording and performing, the lack of admittance for chemical addiction is a bit of a red flag... but if prayer and determination brought her through thus far...

...she may or may not have had her last dance with The White Lady, but I do believe ultimately she's going to be alright...

Whitney is full of ish! I agree with Wendy Williams. She's trying to blame it all on Bobby and she's still in denial!

Whitney was rushed to the ER on numerous occassions, back in the mid-eighties (before she even met Bobby) for cocaine overdosing.

How do I know this? Because my aunt was a nurse at Golden Glades Memorial in North Miami Beach (where Whitney lived and still has a condo).

We knew about Whitney snorting powder and messing with women in the 1980's. It was no secret in Miami. (Ask Randall Cunningham why he broke up with Whitney).

I pretty much stopped watching Oprah a while ago,but I was intrigued by the Whitney Houston interview so I watched both days. I thought she was pretty honest on Day 1. She admitted that used cocaine (although I caught that crack vs rock reference, too!) I thought she was pretty honest in her assessment of the relationship between her and Bobby. (I always thought he would have had a strong career had he not married her.) What I personally think is that she was a much bigger user of cocaine than Bobby! When she said he was a drinker/alcoholic, that meshed with what I thought all along. That he was an angry drunk is probably true, too. I think they loved/love each other, but were just as toxic to each other as any two people could be!
On Day 2, I couldn't help but think that Whitney was getting a bit imaginative when she started replaying these conversations between her and their daughter. I'm sure Bobbi Kristina was exposed to more negative behavior than any child should see, but some of what she was saying just wasn't believable---to me.
So finally, I think she took ownership, BUT even though she told Oprah she was taking it one day at a time, something about her demeanor didn't say to me that she realizes that she truly is just a moment away from relapse. That cocaine is a dangerous drug!
I don't really enjoy watching Oprah interview either. She doesn't just ask questions. If the person isn't answering quickly enough, she jumps in, adds her comment and then asks them to confirm what she has said. She did a lot of that with Whitney.
