One thing is for sure---she evokes strong emotions on both sides of the fence, which is exactly what Madonna did.

We have to remember she's playing in the arena of pop here--this isn't Joani Mitchell. But so far, she's managed to capture a great deal of attention, and it doesn't hurt that she can actually sing and entertain. It remains to be seen, but I've seen nothing so far that makes me want to write her off... nor have I heard anything so far that blows me away.
