The Beatles..

have 10 of the top 25 selling cd's on amazon. 40 years after they broke up.
two of the top sellers cost 199$ or more.

To put it simply, without them and sad to say MJ's death, the music industry would have totally collapsed this year, they were on track for their worst year yet with record drops in sales, even with the rise in "downloads" the rise was not even close to what they hoped for "digital".
