The bass? The only way I can describe it is the "dunt-dunt-dunt-dunt-dunnnnt DUNNNT" melody. And, it's sped up in Janet's song. This track is FIRE! [Edited 9/20/09 20:31pm] [Edited 9/20/09 20:32pm] "Get up off that grey line"

About 10 or so years ago, I would agree. Now, I don't think so. agree. JD is doing the same shit over and over again. 10 years ago, all of Jerkins' songs were variations on "The Boy Is Mine"

I think she should get back with Tina, and that she, Jimmy and Terry should be the sole collaborators on the new CD. Although, Make Me is hot, and that came from her collaboration with RJ, so maybe he can throw in a couple of tracks. [Edited 9/20/09 21:32pm] "Get up off that grey line"

J&L are already working with Janet on the new album. I just wish it was the three of them only. And I'm so over Tina Cool if she's back and Cool if she's not

I meant Gil needs to fall back a little as far as creative consultation goes... "Get up off that grey line"

Jerkins productions sounds like generic ringtones at least JD's sounds more complicated to make and you can tell he puts in a lot more effort then Jerkins. The thing about JD is he's so self-centered when it comes to his production! Every time I hear song produced by him you just know right off the bat! He never is experimental I just cant agree. Especially after The Emanicpation fo Mimi and E=MC2 it seemed like he was trying to out do himself on other peoples tracks he created. Nobody here even knew Rodney made "Make Me"..we all were thinking J&T produced that one. I say that Rodney has used less sampling and more avant grade production skills compared to JD. JD only really branched out recently on "So Much Betta" and even that was highly sampled by Daft Punk. I mean he took the beginning of one of his own songs for 3LW and used it again for "Call On Me"...how creative is that? Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I don't have a problem with singers working with producers. My problem is that a lot of times people tend to make people sound like other people. People always complain about P doing the same thing, but think about it, Prince is doing the same thing he's done since the beginning of his career. He has experimented with different sounds, instruments and arrangements, yet still maintaining his trademark MPLSOUND and groove. I hope that J can get back to the "janet" sound that she and jimmy and terry created. With that being said, Jimmy and Terry (I think) need to up their game and get back to writing up tempo jams and grooves. In recent years, they have been on the ballad kick. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

JD isn't a bad producer he just lacks creativity. IMO- He's a far better producer then Rodney Jerkins. I think Rodney works better with Janet then JD does. JD + Mariah = good, I guess.... Anyways! I was listening to the Velvet Rope album and I just noticed how different TVR and AFY are Like whoa!!! I'm Janet is experimental again!

Funny, the first time I heard Make Me I thought it was reminiscent of Chic. Guess this explains it as well as why I like it so much. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
