Just looking at these repetitive thread made me think that our choice of pop star is similiar to your choice in foods and brands. I mean who cares that twinkies are over 100 years old- if you like the brand you are gonna buy it and eat it.

if heinz is your ketchup- your not gonna care that the recipe is 500 years old.
if smuckers float your boat over welchs no one will stick it to you-

but low and behold if your favorite rock star is old as dirt but is still your favorite your gonna catch all kinds of hell. so what the big 3 are/were over 50 if they still make your booty move buy the damn record and be happy

Well, me being 51 myself, I am STILL into bands and artists that I was into when I was in my teens and 20s!! Heres the list:

Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks
David Bowie
Peter Gabriel
The Moody Blues
Pink Floyd
Tom Petty
Santana

And, surprisingly, with the exception of Pink Floyd, all these acts are still around today and STILL kicking ass!!!

I tell the kids in my classes who make fun of my liking Prince to come back and talk to me in 30 years if their "one-hit wonders" are still making music.

My sister is still a die-hard Depeche Mode fan, and U can't tell her anything!
