Madonna planning a world tour! Details on her new CD!

Madonna is planning to tour in 2003! She feels that last years' Drowned World Tour was "too self-indulgent" and she now wants to redress the balance.

As for her new CD,it will be released in April. There is a track which is OVER 12 minutes long! The first single will probably be a ballad,or a midtempo song.Rumored song titles include "Hollywood" and "American Life" but "Die Another Day" will not be included after all.

The tour will begin in late spring-early summer.Following the tour, there will be a multi-disc box set just in time for Christmas.

I'm trying not to go insane...lol...

What do you think of all this great Madonna news? I'm ecstatic! But I don't wanna get my hopes up until it actually happens.

I think it's great. But she's pretty reliable. I would get your hopes up. I doubt this project is gonna fall through or that the information is bogus. I'm really glad that DAD isn't on there. I like it but it's too much like Music. It's best to leave your tide-me-over songs off the album. The more new music the better. smile I hope she goes in a totally new direction with this one.

I have a feeling that her new CD will be very eclectic and experimental. She has already said that it will contain a hardcore rap song, and now we hear that one track will be over 12 minutes long! I think we're in for a surprise.

The last tour was a little too self indulgent and not very audience friendly. I personally don't want to hear a show full of her 80s hits but just a show thats really balanced without being nostalgic. The Drowned World tour made Prince's ONA shows look like a greatest hits set. To include songs like Rain, Bad Girl, Open Your Heart, Dress You Up on the next tour would be something else. Truly great Madonna songs that aren't necessarily overplayed but recognisable to everyone. I actually kinda missed some of the Ray Of Light material on the last tour, she omitted the best songs, Swim and Skin for example. Glad she's back though!

DavidEye! I hope you had a great holiday season! hug

Great news for Madonna fans! I secretly hoped the album would be called "Touch" after the Eurythmics album of the same title. It's great to hear that she'll be back in full force in 2003. Keep up the good work.

You guys should get the 'Die Another Day' movie soundtrack. It contains the full version of the song, and it is much better than the radio edit.It has a longer fade-out at the end and some cool electronic sounds, not to mention Madonna's laugh...lol...

Alot of fans are hoping that Madonna does a Greatest Hits tour, but I like the bold approach she took last year on the 'DW' tour. Then again,it would be nice to hear songs like "Like A Prayer" and "Live To Tell" again.

I'm so happy that she is touring again! I was lucky to be able to see her on the DW tour and I'm definitely going back for more lady M.
