could there be hope for the VMA's this year? (superstitious reasons...) Im not too excited this year musically for the artists.
I havent even seen alot of videos this year. and the main artist i would be anxious to see pop up is...uh...deceased but for some reason i feel a glimmer of hope that the vmas could POSSIBLY be good this - just based on the fact that its in september- MID september. because- for some reason- for me- i felt that the vmas lost its edge when they started airing in AUGUST. ( i ALSO felt it lost its edge when they started shooting in a film- like frame rate in 2002- but they went back to regular style- which somewhat helped a few years later) I know its a bit weird...but ehhh- thats me. hopefully the AMA's will take a hint- sup wit this NOVEMBER shit? p.s. it would have been cool to see CHRIS BROWN attempt a comeback though. he would have been then the only one i would look out for-- performance wise.....

I actually feel the same.
I was hoping that Michael would take a break from his "This is it" tour and appear at the VMA's. Not happening of course...and it sucks. I just know that Beyonce will perform and win most of the nominations, so no surprise there. Lady Ga Ga will do her things..as always...half crotch showing and acting like she's "THE" artist. I don't get people who get her, but whatever. This is weird, but the only other person I am looking forward seeing is Britney. I know, I know, but I just feel like the show is complete (- MJ of course) if she shows up. I am simply better than you...end of story.

at this point it feels like the VMAs are a tribute fest because ever since Aaliyah, someone is always dying right before they are set to air.

Well in a way it has to be. MJ was a major influence on MTV, so they have to do a tribute and pay their respects. I just hope they have different artists do their thing. But I got the feeling is gonna be Beyonce and Usher. I hope they don't have Chris Brown doing shit. I do not feel like watching that MF singing a song for MJ. It would be really Fd-up to hear him sing "Heal the World." It would totally kill it for me. I am simply better than you...end of story.

There's definitely hope! Janet Jackson will be doing a tribute to her brother. I can't wait to see this.
