New Pearl Jam - my review

great record!

here is my favorite song

it would have been great if Prince had run into Eddie Vedder instead of Larry Graham for spiritual advice - and advice on how to embrace fans

One of the best albums of the year

Very solid record, it rocks hard throughout. Eddie's vocals are sounding better than ever.

Initially I thought the record was pretty weak sauce, but it's grown on me and I like Amongst The Waves, Force of Nature and Speed of Sound particularly. Whether they can make up for Johnny Guitar and Supersonic, I'm not so sure. Still, much better than Riot Act.

A few weeks ago I got to hang at Pearl Jam's facility for about a week. I was

involved in the Hank Khoir concert put on by Stone Gossard. That was so much fun!

Stone has always been a real super cool cat. Their place is kinda like Paisley

Park, but not as big. Great experience, I just got tired of eating burritos all

week. But grateful for the opportunity to hang with a group of local and out of

town talent that only someone like Stone can collectivize.

I agree, Eddie's vocals sound amazing. I continued going to their live shows even when I did not like the album they were promoting. They are a great live band. It will be nice hearing some new songs that actually rock.
