The AMA's are now in November. The Grammy's are expected to be in February 2010. I hear they will air a little earlier this time.

With the way sales and the industry is goin, i think U will soon see the Grammys at the end of the year to go with the Holiday Rush sales. Well i know that this year BOTH shows will obviously see ratings returns with Michael Jackson Tributes of every kind, my only hope is that they focus on "old school" type tributes, i dont wanna hear Lil Wayne doing Human Nature

Yeah i mean do u doubt the AMA show doing something like that? At least the grammies still has some of the respect it had with sticking with older acts, but the AMA's are a joke, i cant believe this is the same show that had "Paul Simon,Billy Joel,Stevie Wonder,Bruce Springsteen and Barry Manilow" nominated against each other one year and now its between "chris brown,Jess McCartney and Fall Out boy" oh how we have fallen

I just hope that any tribute to Michael Jackson is a worthy one considering how important a man he was in the music and entertainment world. I don't even wanna see Lil Wayne even utter Michael's name. These tribute must be world class!

Yeah that has been my issues even with the grammies the last decade, they feel they have to cater to younger to get ratings, well truth be known, when i was in music and music retail, the day after the grammies, the kids werent coming in, it was the older crowd that was buying up stuff, so when a Herbie Hancock wins album of the year, that shit went through the roof, i mean im not saying eliminate younger artists, but the younger artists even like Kanye, have a habit of making these tributes ABOUT THEM and not the person they are giving the tribute for, i mean i know that Kanye will do something and have the glitter glove and shave MJ in his head and do some sort of speech, when all you need to do is shut up and give props, its not about what U do its about what they did, this crowd coming up dont get it.
