I actually would've loved to hear Marvin's voice over Joni's witty lyrics,,,,in fact I wish MORE soul singers covered her material(aside from Prince).
The only person who attempted to my knowledge was Chaka(on Man From Mars & Ladies Man) in fact she sang in either Don Juan's Reckless Daughter or The Hissing of Summer Lawns, can't remember which,,,,, and Minnie Riperton(on A woman of heart & mind). | |
