This album is fucking terrible. She just recorded 948 different interpolations of Bliss and Yours and threw them on the CD along with Obsessed and another cover. L.A.Z.E. [Edited 9/22/09 8:48am]

Ehhh. It's alright. Why can't she take notes from Mimi or her 1st disc? That's where she has been her best. There are some growers on here for me but it doesn't excite me like Mimi did. I had that disc on repeat forever. Try again girl.

Mariah last great album was Butterfly. Don't know what happened after that.
MIMI was good, but I don't think its her best. [Edited 9/22/09 11:43am]

I listened to it the first time last night, and while it's better than E=MC2, it's only so-so. There are a couple of tracks that I like, but overall, it's really slow paced and somewhat repetitive. She's done other albums with mostly ballads on them, but they were at least diverse, with a pop track here, an R&B track here, a hip-hop influenced track here, and an AC track somewhere else. Nearly all of the tracks on this album sound the same except for slight differences in tempo. On the plus side, however, there are no hokey hip-hop collaborations. Maybe it will grow on me, but it's no Butterfly, Mimi, or even Glitter for that matter.

amen girl, amen to everything! here's the whole thing with the interview and all: watching right now Is it me, or does Mariah seem to be shaking? The fans are hilarious. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Lets face it, she isnt the "exxperimental" type artist, alot of her work is very repetitive but i felt that with "Glitter" she went somewhere else though there were familar ground covered. But like she said it was a soundtrack, a one off. I always have thought Mariah shined more with a live band behind her, i mean a track like "If its over" is great because of her really singing it with heart, and also that live band behind her, had that been beats behind her, the track would be nothing more than typical. I think after this album Mariah needs to be free of a label and of her comfort zone. People are full o' shit, then and who gives a damn about digits, the material was worthwhile Well, if you compare it to Music Box or Daydream, it wasn't a seller And also, because CRITICS said it was bad - and by saying that I think it takes a lot of credibility away from them - people actually thought it was THAT bad. Personally, I don't give a shit what critics say NOR about sales. And it truly is one of Mariah's best albums. Subtle Invitation

The rest of the album is seriously divine And also, I don't like the Loverboy remix Lead the Way ^ infinity

Heck maybe I say it is going to be bad I'm curious if you'll like it or not. It's not Emancipation or Butterfly but it's not E=MC2 either altho it may be in the vein of the last 2 discs. It's fun and it sounds like she had a lot of fun recording it. There are a few tender moments and a dash of sensuality here and there. As usual I like the arrangements and there are no guest appearances. I simply enjoy it. It puts a smile on my face each time I play it. The only serious dud to me is Standing O. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
