Radio Edits you LOVE

"I Love Your Smile" - Shanice
I like the way they cut out the rap and left the song in tact.

"Take Your Time Do It Right" - SOS Band
I like how we don't have that annoying chant. The chant is cool if you are having a party, but if just want to get into the song, here you have it.

Wow, that's tough because I usually HATE radio edits. Have to think about that one... hmmm

Okay, I have one...."Last Dance" by Donna Summer.

The single version is a classic piece of disco perfection. I like the 8 minute 12" version too but the 7" version is just perfect.

Good thread, but tough.

speaking of disco....

I prefer the single edit of "In The Bush" by Musique. The album version is too long and repetitive. The single (radio) edit is a focused, tight disco jam that gets straight to the point.

That is a good radio edit. It perfectly crafts it into a pop song.

"Last Dance" is one of the few songs where I don't mind a radio edit. It's a fine song radio edited or full version. smile

yeah I agree,"Last Dance" is the perfect example of an excellent radio edit.It takes the best moments of a lengthy song and condenses it into a tight,4-minute masterpiece.

Beck "Where It's At". I have the CD single just for the edit, which plays out like the video version.

It shortens all the portions of the album version that lag a bit too long.

Never heard the radio edit but Odelay is one of my favorite albums from Beck. I love the song like it is. I'll search for the radio edit.
